Silent Meditation Retreat

A silent meditation retreat is a conscious step away from everyday life — a sacred pause that invites your attention to turn inward.

When both you and your surroundings grow quiet, you begin to truly hear yourself.
The retreat offers a safe and nurturing space to slow down, breathe deeply, and let your mind settle.
In silence, creativity and insight awaken – and you may hear that subtle inner voice guiding you where you need to go.

During the silent retreat, we gently enter a shared field of respectful silence.
On the first evening, we begin our silence together, committing to honor the collective space by refraining from speech and from all other forms of communication through gestures or eye contact.
In this way, everyone has the opportunity to experience a profound and meaningful state of silence within a safe environment, where all your needs are cared for and you can simply rest in the embrace of stillness.
Throughout the retreat, we also commit to switching off our phones and all digital devices.
We do not browse social media, check messages, or watch television.
These modern distractions easily pull us away from hearing the voice of our deepest self — a voice we are giving space to, both for ourselves and for the whole group.
Please also refrain from bringing reading materials.
If you wish to read something during the retreat, you can borrow a book from Lauri’s library.
You may take notes if you wish, but it’s recommended to spend your time listening within, rather than reading or writing — to allow your inner voice to be heard.

What happens during the retreat?

On the first evening we share a meal, meet each other, and set our intention for the weekend. We then settle into our first meditation, after which we begin three full days of silence.

Over the following days, you’ll be served delicious vegan meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We wake you with a gentle bell and invite you to each session with its sound, so you can fully let go of timekeeping.

Our days are woven from morning, afternoon, and evening meditations, as well as teachings and guided practices that open the space for insight.

Each evening, the wood-heated sauna is available for those who wish to relax and enjoy its warmth in silence.

Every day also includes a changing practice — perhaps yoga, breathwork, emotional release, or a sound journey. This element varies slightly depending on the retreat.

There is also personal time each day — time for simply being, allowing intuition and realizations to arise naturally from within. On Sunday evening, we close the silence with a beautiful sharing circle and closing ceremony. Those who wish may share their experiences and insights from the retreat, though sharing is completely optional.

Retreat duration: Thursday–Monday (4 nights, 5 days)

Arrival: Thursday at 16:00 (dinner is included)

Departure: Monday at 10:00–12:00 (breakfast is included)
